Penguin Card

My daughter and I have been starting a special craft tradition on Sunday nights. We have been taking an hour before bedtime to do a craft. The past few weeks, we have made cards. She loves making them and helping with the Cricut (yes, she is only 3!) Tonight, she chose the penguin. Her very favorite thing to do is peel the paper backing off the dimensionals! Ha ha! I make it educational for her, we talk about animals and work on our colors while she helps me pick out paper. She then decorates her own way on the inside with colorings and stickers. The girl is obsessed with stickers!  We have a blast together and I love encouraging her creativity. Here is a fun picture of her decorating the inside. Have a great night!

Love the penguin. That face really makes it and the flower is nice. How wonderful for your daughter growing up sharing that talent building and bonding craft time together.

Erin, that is so great! Being a former teacher, think of all the things you are teaching her, plus incorporating family time and sense of a schedule too. Wow, that is just soooo great. Your post makes me happy!
We are starting a new family thing next weekend. Each Sunday night, one of the kids will choose a recipe and help make a family dessert. I am doing it to build family time and to ease the Sunday nite back to school jitters!!!

What a sweetheart! Can I borrow her to do the insides of my cards? I never know what to put, and I think even the grumpiest person in the world will smile when they open a card penned by this little sweetie! you can tell she is quite focused on her project!
