Twilight card

I will admit it, I am a Twi-hard, it's true. I can't wait for the next movie, it's gonna be SUPER good. I am interested to see how they will make it work in a movie ;) Anyway, I picked up the new DCWV Immortal Love stack and couldn't wait to use it with my Craft Lounge stamps, For-bitten. I got these stamps probably almost a year ago now at Archiver's and hadn't even opened them! Perfect match. Enjoy!

Celebrating my cowboy boots

I love my cowboy boots. There is something so empowering about them. Maybe I'm channeling my country roots. Maybe it's because they give me a sense of freedom. Maybe because I feel powerful in them, a strong independent woman. They are beautiful, unique and historical. Today I'm celebrating my cowboy boots with a few projects. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did creating them. I hope you get a chance to create something beautiful or celebrate something special today.

Music Mondays Challenge #2

Good Monday morning bloggies! It's time for our second Music Monday already. It's Angelica at Handmade by Angelica's turn this week to host the challenge over on her blog, so head over there for all the deets (including a super fab prize). This week, she chose "Golden" by Jill Scott. The challenge is to create a project with something GOLDEN, whether that be the color GOLD or something GOLDEN in your heart.
In the song, she says "Livin my life like it's golden". I interpret that as creating your own life the way you imagine. So this is the card I came up with. I hardly ever use gold or orange in my projects so I wanted to challenge myself with those colors, and am really happy with the results. Thank you, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade!

Etsy Update!

Hi friends! I know a lot of you here are crafty creative geniuses who don't necessarily need to purchase homemade items such as cards, etc. However, I do have some followers that just like to see what I do and have no desire to be crafty and would rather buy homemade then make themselves. So I wanted to let y'all know I am getting ready to update my Etsy site. Currently, I sell customized invitations and announcements in the form of high resolution graphic files for others to print (my graphic design side).

I have added a store section called "Handmade Cards" and will be posting some of my homemade cards there for others to purchase. This is my VERY FIRST one for sale! I love this card. There will be more to come so I hope you keep checking back. You can always click on my Etsy tab at the top of my website.
As always, thanks for being support of Erin Lee Creative, I love you guys so much! xoxo

Announcing Music Mondays Challenge!

Hello friends! Mondays are now gonna be super duper FUN starting now! Know why? I'll tell you. My bestie Angelica over at Handmade By Angelica and I have some exciting news! We are starting a new weekly challenge called Music Mondays. We both have a HUGE love for music and realize how much music really inspires and fosters creativity, and for that we are grateful. Music really does soothe the soul. So each week, we will trade off being the host and create a challenge with a new song to inspire you! And of course, we will have all kinds of fun prizes to win! Doesn't this sound like so much FUN?

Our first challenge will be hosted by me. Next week, it will be over on Angelica's blog! The song I have chosen for the first week is You Are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne. Have you heard it? If you haven't, no worries, just watch the video here:
Ready to get started? With this song, I think it would only be appropriate to create a project devoted to someone who is the best thing in your life. Someone that makes you smile, laugh and just down right happy, much like this song :) You can interpret the song by lyrics, the voice, the rhythm, whatever moves you! Here is my project. This lil ladybug chick makes me just happy ;) I used Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Faces along with Bo Bunny patterned paper and Pink By Design Love Always stamp set.
Link up your project below by Sunday 1/17 at midnight CST so we can pick a random winner Monday morning when we post our next challenge. The prize this week is $15 to Market Street Stamps! Amazing! Good luck friends!

I used my Promarkers to color her in and kept the card pretty simple, using Papertrey Ink Kraft card stock, patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Lavender and Papertrey Ink brown ribbon.

WINNER! The winner for the $10 Peachy Keen Stamps gift certificate is.....
