Music Monday Challenge

Thanks for joining in on the California Love last week....the random entree of ELC's Cowgirl Up Paper Stack is.....Jess B over at That'z Uneek! Congrats Jess, your project was really great. Please email me so I can ship out the paper stack to you!

I'm pretty excited about this one, kids. Who doesn't like to destroy things? haha. When I discovered this song a few days ago, I KNEW it had to be a Music Monday Challenge song. It is beautiful, strong and just plain good. It's a good one to blare, I love songs like that.
The video is super cool too. To me, it expresses destruction. Sometimes you have to break things down in order to stand taller. Love that. So...the challenge this week is to create a project with a destroyed technique. It can be sanded, burned, torn, distressed, roughed up, whatever you want! Here is what I came up with:
I did a lot to this card to destroy it. Glimmer Mist spray, distressed edges, took a lighter to the edges (please learn from me and be more careful with open fire LOL), tore the paper and crinkled the paper. I also made my own messy flower from Angelica's video technique. Unity Stamps here people. And the patterned paper is ALL from Erin Lee Creative Cowgirl Up paper stack!

I hope you can join us this week for our challenge. Angelica is sponsoring this really sweet distressing kit package as the giveaway that will go to a random entry! It's a Heart Attack distresser from We R Memory Keepers and a pack of Tim Holtz Trimmings in Lavish. I'm jealous, I want this!

Mi Amore Blog Hop

Hello lovelies! Welcome to my stop on the Mi Amore Blog Hop. I was so excited when Momo and Paula asked me to participate in this one. I must admit, I am not a big Valentine's Day girl. But it's a good day to celebrate those you love so on with my project.

Erin Lee Creative My Favorite Things patterned paper (music)

In It With My Whole Heart card and a lil giveaway {wink wink}

Good morning, friends. We have almost made it to Friday which I am most excited about. What a week! I haven't had much time in my craft room this week and last night I needed just 10 minutes for a little creative therapy. I put together this card with just a few simple ingredients including: Papertrey Ink card stock in Berry Sorbet, Unity Stamps, ribbon, Versamagic Ink and Market Street Stamps Too Many Martinis background stamp. I LOVE her background stamps, they ROCK! She also sells the Versamagic dew drops :)

I wanted to use some of my stamps I got in Unity Stamp Co's grab bag deal that I received in the mail yesterday. What a steal! I love when Angela offers deals like that :) 15 stamps from past Kit of the Months for 12 bucks! They came lose in a paper bag, but I could care less because they are the SAME. GREAT. QUALITY. STAMPS!

I suggest you hop on over to Facebook and fan the Unity Stamp page, because this is where she posts great deals like I got. If you head over there and tell them Erin Lee Creative sent you, I will enter you in the bucket to win some of the extra Unity Stamps I have lying around, sound like a deal? So go HERE and do it! :) I'll pick a random commenter this weekend, k?

PKS Let's Face It Friday!

WOAH - we got 5 inches of snow overnight, say WHA? That's on TOP of the ice we already had! Crazytown. Anyway, today is PKS Let's Face It Friday! This week, the challenge is: Create an altered container using Peachy Keen Stamps faces to store Valentines or cards you receive throughout the year.

Here is what I came up with using lots of twine and the beloved Everyday Face Assortment set. I hope you enjoy and can participate along with us this week for a fab prize!

Accordion Paper Flowers

BRRRRRR! This ice is crazy! It reached a record low in Dallas overnight and we are having rolling power outages right now to conserve energy. This does not make for a very warm ice day at home! Shot this quick video last night on how I make accordion paper flowers, they are super easy and pretty! Enjoy!

Life is Good card

Afternoon my crafty followers! I hope everyone is staying safe today with all the snow / ice / blizzard stuff that's going on. It iced pretty good in Dallas overnight so I am home today. I was inspired to try a new technique, an accordion flower. They are super simple, I will do a video in the next couple of days for y'all. I think it turned out really pretty, although it would be difficult to mail this card because it's rather 3D. Yes, this is another sneak ;) Do we have guesses yet? Have a great one!
