Greetings from New Zealand!

Good evening friends! It's morning where you are, super early, but it's 10:45 pm here so I'm just getting ready for bed. Crazy, eh? I still have a hard time trying to remember what time it is for y'all and keeping track of my days. I hit a local scrapbook store here to check out the trends here. The lady working there was very friendly and told me they get most of their supplies from Australia and the States. They had a lot of items that were familiar to me but a few that were fun and new. However, the problem here is? EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE. Bottle of Stickles? $15. Stamp sets? $43. Yikes! It's like that with everything here. Went to the grocery store for Coke. 30 cans? $25. Enough about cost of living. I managed to pick up a few unique New Zealand items like this stamp. I thought it would be fun to have. It was between this and the kiwi bird :)

Even though things are expensive here, it seems as though people have their priorities in line here. People work hard, but play harder. It's all about enjoying life, finding meaning in the little things and taking it easy. Stress doesn't seem to be a huge factor, and it's not about the size of the house you have, it's about what you do with your time. I love that attitude and I hope I can take some of that philosophy home with me. Not to mention, the beauty of this land is just ridiculous. And they take care of their land and don't trash it. LOVE that. Overall, it's been a great experience for me. I'm exploring some seriously beautiful country, experiencing a different culture, spending more time with my daughter and no tv.

More on NZ later, hope you enjoy my card and hope you have a great day! Goodnight! ;)

More importantly - how much is the local stout (I say this in my Sherlock Holmes voice). I can't believe how expensive everything is out there! I hear that about a lot of other countries though. BOO. :( Guess it's online shopping for you!! MISS YOU!
