Peachy Keen Stamps LFIF: Creepy Cute

Happy Friday friends! I LOVE me some Fridays! Super fun weekend ahead full of Halloween festivities. I'm going as Katy Perry - can't wait to rock the blue wig. HAHA!

Today I'm posting a creepy cute project since I'm all ready for Halloween. I mixed the new Uglies Face Assortment from Peachy Keen with the Retro Faces nose and mouth to create her cute face. The girl is from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge as well as the spiderweb cut.
I also used Unity Stamp Co stamp for the sentiment and My Creative Time's Banner Die for the sentiment tag. The patterned paper is Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium line. Hope you can join us this week for the challenge.

I can't believe how close it really is when you look at a calendar. Hmmmm maybe I should start my list.... Anyway, for this card I used my NEW Market Street Stamp Sweet Lace background stamp, I love it! All the bling and the flower are from Creative Charms. AND did I happen to mention I'm a new Design Team member for this fabulous company? They make the CUTEST embellies at such a reasonable price! Check em out.

Sweet Spooks Card

Hellllllooooo out there in crafty blogland all! Today I'm bringing you a super sassy and spooky card using a whole lotta Market Street Stamps. I just absolutely adored this little skull cutie when I first saw the release of it. Ain't she cute? Love her flower headband. I am a BIG fan as you know of MSS background stamps as well. So fun to play with. What's even cooler is I didn't even use any patterned paper on this entire card. With background stamps, you can create your own. Am also loving my heat embosser these days as well ;) I used SU white embossing powder for the background and the sentiment.
Recipe:

Stampin Up card stock
Stick pin made by me
Lace and other trim (from my craft closet)

I am entering this into Market Street Stamps Block Party Challenge! So fun! Have a great day everyone.

What a week! I am exhausted, so thrilled it's the weekend. Got a few to-dos, but hopefully for the most part I can just have a little relaxation time at home.

I created this card using my Stampin Up Beau Chateau stuff from my rep Barb. I love her because well, she puts up with me basically. Aren't the papers gorgeous? Yarn Wreath Tutorial

Sunday funday! I'm posting a tutorial today on how to make EASY yarn wreaths. I am now addicted and will probably be making one for every holiday. They are so easy, economical and the possibilities are endless with so many types / colors of yarn out there. I would say total time takes probably an hour, depending on how fast you can twist the yarn and how complicated your embellishments are.

Here's how you create one.
First, you will need a straw wreath. They come in different sizes, this one is a 10" from Hobby Lobby. NOTE: Leave the plastic wrap on! It is slick and is easier to twist the yarn around.
If you want just one solid color yarn wreath, you will need one bigger spool of yarn. I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $2.99. If you want to incorporate other colors, get 2 or 3. They also make yarn spools with various colors mixed in, like on my fall wreath so you don't have to worry about buying multiple colors! (See...easy so far.)

You will also need a few pieces of felt squares, depending on how many flowers you want (one felt square cut in half makes two big flowers), a thick piece of ribbon to hang it with and whatever else you want to use for embellishments.
To start, take the end of your yarn and knot it on the back. Start looping the yarn through the wreath over and over again.
Keep covering the entire wreath in yarn. Since I combined two yarn colors, I cut off really long pieces of each color and twisted them around together.

***I also found it much easier on my second wreath to cut off long pieces of yarn instead of using the entire spool of yarn, it seemed to get tangled when I kept it on the spool.

Next, you will need to make your felt flowers. I have put together a picture tutorial on how to create these little beauties.
You can embellish you wreath however you want! I have used burlap leaves, feathers, painted wood letters, fabric, Sizzix flowers, buttons...the sky's the limit!
Here are two of my finished wreaths, a fall wreath and a ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK wreath.
I hope you will try these - they are so fun! Have a crafty relaxing Sunday.
