2013: A Year In Review {with Unity}

2013 was a big year for me creatively. Fate brought me a sweet girl by the name of Angela. She provided me with HUGE opportunities to expand my card crafting work as well as my design skills. I have loved Unity since I began card crafting in 2008. But 2013 was my year. My year to join the Unity family.

I started with a guest design spot. Then, I got one very special email asking to stay. Then, I started designing stamps. It was meant to be in 2013.

I love my Unity family. Angela, her family, the staff, the design team girls and the artistas. They are all my family. They mean the world to me. So thank you, 2013 for bringing me THEM.

And I gotta say, Unity fans are pretty special to me, too. For an entire year, I have read each and every comment you all have left me. You have touched my heart, with each word and compliment you've given.

So thank you for that.

Today, I'm posting a few Unity creations that I submitted to Paper Crafts Magazine that never got their chance to shine this year. I hope you enjoy, and I look forward to many many more Unity projects in 2014.

Your next stop along the way is the always creative Jolande. As always, don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a fabulous Unity prize and be sure to check out the year in review sale going on on the Unity website. Enjoy!

Time for WINE.

Yo people! It's Thursday - Unity day!

This weekend, they are having a WINE sale with new releases. So fabulous!
I helped created some of the sentiments, so you know a little sass is being released ;)
Wouldn't this be cute for a girls happy hour invite or wine tasting party?

Next up is Marlow, a sweet and sassy wine drinking fashionista.
Be sure to head over to the Unity website and check out the wine dot sale!
Next up on the hop is our guest designer, Mandi! Be sure to leave her some love.

Unity Thursday.

Hi friends!

Today I'm posting a simple little card I made using a BRAND new Unity kit just in time for your Valentine crafting.
This set is so much fun - lots of hearts, backgrounds and sentiments.

Your next stop on the hop is the talented Jolande!

Unity Thursday

I've got a few projects for you today. The first three are cards I created with my NEW sentiment kit, I Am Woman. This is my fave set to date. I love empowerment of women. LOVE.
And here are the cards I made with it...
The star die is from Lil Inker and I used an American Crafts Dear Lizzy 6x6 stack. So fun!
This card uses the sentiment kit, the current Kit of the Month AND the current SMAK kit! Phew.
This, my friends, *might* just be my very favorite cards I've made to date. I LOVE Wonder Woman and well, I just love this card. I used the I Am Woman sentiment kit, a Silhouette cut, Lawn Fawn dies and Lil Inker Stitched Stars dies. Girl POWER!

And lastly, I have created a card using my contributed quote for the new quote kit called Lasting Thoughts. All of the Artistas got together to create a quote bundle kit, so it was made with lots of love!
That is all my cards for today! I was busy yesterday in my craft room :)

So this weekend at Unity, it's BROWN THURSDAY weekend! Every year, they offer a sitewide sale of 55% off using code 55THANKS. Isn't that amazing?!?!
AND...for those that comment along the hop, you have a chance to win a YEAR's worth of Stamp of the Week stamps! Isn't that incredible? So be sure to leave comments all over the place!! :)
Your next stop on the hop is the ever-so-talented Jeanie....have fun!

Moxie Fab Thanks! Blog Hop

Today, I am part of an AMAZING blog hop for Cath, the backbone and master mind behind Moxie Fab World. She is moving on to bigger things and we wanted to thank her and wish her the BEST of luck in her future endeavors. This is like the blog hops of ALL blog hops! So many participants, so much talent.

Here is my little card I made, just for Cath. I'm sending her lots of love and best wishes in her future endeavors.
For this card, I used WPlus9's Woodland Wreaths stamp set. Really one of my favorites right now and turned it more fall than Christmas-y. I paired it with Heartfelt Holiday (banner and sentiment). I just adore these little fruits!

Thanks for stopping by...xoxo

Your next stop on the hop is Stacey. Get moving along now! :)

feather love you.

Super duper quick card I'm posting today...I made this under 10 minutes. LOVE the effect of embossing. Simple, easy and elegant!
For this simple card, I used Zing embossing powder in gold, Papertrey Ink navy card stock, some gold glitter paper I had laying around, sequins and Unity's Kit of the Month and SMAK kit. Love making cards with the SMAK kit, too!

I'm off to go shopping with my mama. Have a great weekend, everyone! xo

Puns are fun.

Yep, I'm a cheese ball. Puns make me giggle. So, I decided some of them needed to become little stamps. I'm so happy Angela at Unity decided to make them into rubber, and I hope you are too!
Onto my card samples I made with some of these bad boys. Did I happen to mention they are all just ONE DOLLAR starting today through the weekend? Um, hello.

I hope you enjoy the new releases. Be sure to head over to the Unity website to check out ALL the little dudes and their puns!

Your next stop on the hop today is Miss Jolande. Have fun!

Woodland Wreaths: non-holiday style.

Hi friends! Happy Saturday. I wanted to share a card with you today I made using WPlus9's Woodland Wreaths set. I LOVE this set so so much. In fact, I love their entire holiday release! I need to get stamping with the others I got, hopefully this weekend.

I wanted to make a non-holiday card with this lovely wreath set, so I paired Woodland Wreaths with Fresh Cut Florals and Basic Banners. I wanted to add a pop of pink, and finished it off by mounting it to a pink card base.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

For reals.

This  little chick in a penguin hat, a new release from Unity, totally just cracks me up. I think he's adorable! I matched him with a sentiment stamp that was just....fitting. I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday! xoxo

Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming!

I have been trying my BEST to get ahead of the game this year. I'm so close to being done with present shopping. Now, I need to start wrapping! A big part of my yearly wrapping tradition is making my own tags, so I really need to build up my stash NOW.

I made this sweet little chalkboard tag using Unity's current Kit of the Month Oh Christmas Tree. So easy, yet stunning!
Be sure to check out Unity's darn good deals sale. AND $2.95 shipping for US orders! I'm going to have to do a little shopping myself ;)
Your next stop on the hop is Miss Jolande!

Super Star.

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I love a LOT of stamp companies. I sometimes feel guilty if I don't use certain stamps, but in the end, I just love creating with all kinds of different companies stamps. They are all so different and unique, it's fun to switch it up sometimes.

I also love combining different companies to create my OWN thing. This is what I did with the card I made the other night.

I used Unity Stamp Company for the sentiment and Avery Elle for the background and banner stamps and dies. I also used the Stitched Star dies from Lil Inker. Fun fun!
I hope you all have a terrific weekend!

A quick Christmas tag {and a winner}.

Hi friends!

Just wanted to post a quick tag I made today with my Unity Kit of the Month. Love getting that full sheet of fresh red rubber in the mail. I have another project I'll be posting on Thursday using the same kit. It is a gorgeous one!
Super fun and simple tag to make for packages this holiday season. Need about 100 more! ha.

Also, I wanted to post the WINNER of the Halloween Chatter stamp set I was giving away last week for World Card Making Day.... it is....
Amanda! YAY for her! Amanda, I will be in touch with you to get your stamp package out in the mail. Congrats!

I hope you ALL have a fabulous Tuesday. xoxo

Merry & Bright Angel.

It's feels as though this time of year, we just BLOW through the holidays, I LOVE it! Halloween is almost upon us, but I'm already thinking Christmas. There's so much to do at Christmastime and it's always nice to get a head start on cards.

I LOVE this new release from Unity, Arianna Girl. She is beautiful. I should've taken a picture of her before I covered her up with vellum to show her true beauty, but the frosted end look will have to do.
It's a shaker card, so there are glitter goodies surrounding her. I heat embossed the vellum with a Unity sentiment from Naughty is the new Nice set in silver embossing powder.

I hope everyone has a peaceful Friday! xoxo

Unity Thursday: Cancer Awareness

Hello my lovely friends.

Today is Unity day. So much greatness releasing today. I feel like I need 2 blog posts to even cover it all.

First, I will talk about the cancer releases. As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. However, these stamps that are releasing today can be ANY kind of cancer, which I love.
Tracy has created two beautiful fashionista girls and I have a lot of NEW cancer-related sentiments also releasing today. I hope you enjoy them and can put them to use in your own life.
This sentiment I designed is well....the truth. I know it seems a bit harsh, and I apologize if I offend anyone, but it is truly how I feel {and I know a lot of others feel the same}. Sometimes, you just wanna scream it from the rooftops.
Next up, this SWEET adorable little girl I know ;) ;) got to get crafty too for this release!
There is a new holiday Kid's Kit that can be used with children thanking others for gifts or making gifts. How awesome is that?
My daughter had a blast coloring these adorable images and wanted to do more, so I know thank you's this year will be much easier with this kit. LOVE!
I hope you will pop over to the Unity website, because there is SO much more releasing I can't even cover it all. So go take a look-see for yourselves and I'll see you back here next time!

Next up on the hop is Miss Jolande.

World Card Making Day 2013!

Hi card crafting friends! Happy World Card Making Day!

I have already joined in the celebration by placing a crafty order online. HA. I'm off to my daughter's Homecoming festivities, but I wanted to post a card and a GIVEAWAY to celebrate this fabulous day in crafty land!

I am giving away my Unity Stamp Co Halloween sentiment kit, Halloween Chatter. You get *quite* a few stamps in this set! I hope you will follow my blog, but it's totally not necessary. {I don't like to force you to like me.}
Just leave me a comment below and I will draw one lucky winner a week from today! That easy.

I also made this tag with this set. Not a card, but fun nonetheless!
Now....get to crafting!!!

Big, small, save them all.

October is a fun month. It's full of fall, leaves, pumpkins and trick or treating. But it's also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So today, I'm posting a card I made using Unity stamps to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness.
I used the Unity sentiment Big Small (which is only 89 cents this weekend!) and the Itty Bitty Hey Girlfriend.

Have a terrific Friday, peeps! xoxo

Hoppin with Unity {Christmas!}

So did you know Christmas is 3 months from yesterday?

Just a little tidbit of information for ya.
