Hoppin with Unity: embossed photo booth.

Hi friends! Hoppin with Unity...it's a fun place to be...

I created a card with the current KOTM, Let Love Grow. The phone booth, the sentiment and the diamonds are ALL from this kit. I absolutely love how you can mix and match all the elements from each monthly kit - it's totally up to your imagination on how you create with them.
I used Zing Rouge embossing powder to really make the photo booth pop. The wood veneers are currently my fave embellishment addiction {as you can see} - the triangle went so well with the stamp! It's the little things. {Literally.}
Be sure to head over to the Unity website to check out what's happening this Thursday, including some fun new releases and an Itty Bitty sale!
I'm the last one on the hop today, so you can head back over to the Unity blog to check out all the details on the sale to get your SHOP on.

Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger

Hello people! I had a bit of down time this afternoon to play with Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger. YAY! Here is the trigger:
My style? Not so much. I am a brights girl. I do lots of colors. WOAH...challenging, yes.
Here is what I came up with.
I didn't have a fork / knife / spoon stamp, so I found this cute little set in Silhouette Studio. I used Unity's Blossom Stackers, LOTS copper embossing powder, copper paint and copper ribbon.  Kinda fun after all! You should come over and join!

Thanks for stoppin by...have a great WEEK!

Unity Thursday. {It's a very good, good day.}

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am pretty stinkin excited today. Why you ask? Because well.....

I am the Guest Designer for Unity Stamp Company this month!!!! WHOOP!

I will try to contain my excitement, but I can't make any promises. {I already used quite a few exclamation points, sorry about that.}

For those that know me, you know that I just ADORE stamping with my Unity stamps. They are fabulous and I talk about how great they are constantly. So...this is BIG for little ol Erin. Enough talking about me...onto the BLOG HOP.

If you've come from the Unity blog, you are in the right direction. I'm the first stop today!

Starting today there are a few exciting things going on at Unity. First, for CURRENT Kit of the Month and SMAK members, now is your chance to stock up on some of your favorite past kits - they are only $18! That is a great deal, so be sure to grab some past kits you've been eyeing. If you aren't a member yet, JOIN! You won't be sorry, trust me!
I went through alllllllll my KOTMs and decided this particular banner stamp from the kit from head to soul was by far my very favorite. I LOVE to paper piece and this banner is so fun to do that with a pretty 6x6 stack that has coordinating colors and patterns, like this lovely Glitz Design Color Me Happy stack. {I even have a card in the January/February 2013 issue of Paper Crafts Magazine using this stamp!}
NEXT UP...today there are TWO new Angie girls on the site. I love love love coloring these girls created by Angie Blom. My favorite method of coloring right now is Tim Holtz Distress Markers for watercoloring. This is Eryn Girl. Isn't she sweet?
The next Angie girl being released today is Debbi! I turned Debbi NEON with my Promarkers, neon washi, neon sequins and Hero Arts neon inks. {heehee.}
You can pick of these girls starting TODAY for $10 each. Speaking of the talented Angie Blom, her blog is the next stop...so carry on...

p.s. Be sure to comment on each blog along the way....Unity is giving you a chance to win one of 3 gift certificates for $20 each! Thanks for stopping by, hope you'll come back soon.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge: White on white.

***If you are looking for the Made With Love Blog Hop, click here*******

Hellllloooooo! I'm participating in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week! Hooray for new challenges. I love SSS and shop there frequently, they have a great selection of crafty items. This week, the challenge is white on white. Woah. Totally not my style. Challenge on!
{Sorry it's so dark, I wanted the embossing to show up!} Extra bonus for using a Cuttlebug product - this is the James set embossing folder. Purty! I used Unity Stamps and copper embossing powder. {Did you know I LOVE everything copper?} I also heat embossed the butterfly to show the print on him, but it's hard to see that in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Unity February Challenge: feather.

Unity is starting up a BRAND NEW challenge! I'm super excited to see it back and the sketches and inspiration Joslyn came up with is awesome. Here is my card, using the sketch and color combos.
I never seem to have enough thinking of you or sympathy cards, so this one is going in my stash. I love the tail feather set. I used watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress Markers. Fussy cutting this thing was not real easy. haha!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a GREAT Saturday! xoxo

Made With Love Blog Hop

Hi there, crafty amigas! You should've arrived here from Jennifer's blog. Welcome to my little space in blogland. I'm so glad you could join the 2012 Paper Crafts Magazine Gallery Idol girls for today's Made With Love Blog Hop.

First card...this card came to me at 11 pm last night. HA WHOOPS. You just never know when creativity is going to zap you. So I rolled with it. I must clean up the aftermath this morning : \

Did you know that I a.) love neon and b.) love maps and anything travel related? It's true. So this was born. I used my new Hero Arts Neon Inks, white embossing ink and this AWESOME set from Unity, Life Is A Journey. {um, FYI, this stamp set is on SALE right now for $12.99. Run.} I added some of my Heidi Swapp Neon Tapes and voila. I thought this would be a cute card to give to your valentine where you first met {awwwww}.
I also made a card using my Silhouette Cameo, a rainbow of cardstock colors and my Unity Stamp Co January 2013 Kit of the Month. I just LOVE my Kit of the Month subscription! Such a great deal at $26 and every month, you get a HUGE sheet of lovely rubber images to get inky with.
I used the reverse of a cut from the Silhouette store. I then taped various colors of cardstock to the back and then "pop dotted" it to the white card base. The love sentiment is from Unity. Speaking of Unity...

For my prize, I am giving away some LOVELY Unity Stamp Co stamps!!! Please leave a comment on this post for your chance to win by Feb. 21 at midnight.

Your next stop on the hop is the ever-so-talented Dana. Have fun hoppin!

{Be sure to check out the FULL blog hop list on the Facebook Event page HERE.}

You Make My Heart Glow.

So neon is HUGE right now. It's back - in clothing, in crafts and I LOVE IT.
I'm starting to collect a few crafty neon supplies.
Like the sequins I just ordered from Neat and Tangled.
And these bad boys. {Hero Arts Neon Ink}
And Heidi Swapp's neon tape.

So for my 5 year old daughter's Valentines for her classmates tomorrow, I found a super cute idea on Pinterest and put my own twist on it. The printable is a cut from the Silhouette Studio store. I love the chalkboard look. I punched two holes in them to fit the glow stick bracelets in and just adhered a few small strips of the neon tape. And ended up with these cuties!
Personally, I'm pretty pleased with the fact I won't be sending 5 year olds home with another piece of sugar ;)

Sucks to get old. {AND GIU winner!}

Hi friends! I'm here with a WINNER from my GIU week. Again, thanks so much for joining me and commenting on my work. I hope y'all will stay a while!

I'm posting a little birthday card today that I made with Unity's It Sucks to Get Old itty bitty. I colored the lollipop with my Promarkers to match the patterned paper from BazzillBasics School Days perfectly.
Now, onto the winner.....

Thank you darling! Please send me an email so I can get your info.
Happy {almost} Friday!

Final GIU post: anchor love.

SNIFF sniff.
Today is my last day (sniff) of my Growing in Unity posts. I'm going to miss it! Thank y'all so much for joining me and commenting on my cards. Means the world to me.

Today, I used the Itty Bitty Love is my Anchor. LOVE the anchor trend right now.
A pretty simple card today.
Thanks for joining me! Tomorrow I'll choose a winner and post it here!

GIU Day 6: Call me.

Hi friends! Monday funday. Here I am again with another fabulous Unity card. Today is ALSO my post day for the Susan K Weckesser Design Team! WHOOP! Naturally, I grabbed for my SKW / Unity stamps and got inky before the Super Bowl. {Who am I kidding...I didn't watch the game - I snacked and watched commercials.}

On this card, I heat embossed a stamp from the ABC. 123. Washi. stamp set on Papertrey Ink's Hibiscus Burst cardstock with clear embossing powder. I then used this sassy mom from the itty bitty Motherhood is a Verb. {I just love sassy ladies. Kind of like Beyonce during halftime last night. Killed it!}
I added some fun bubble letters from Hob Lob for the sentiment and another cut of the abc. 123. washi along with some washi to finish it up.

Tomorrow will be my last Growing in Unity post and then I'll choose a winner from my blog comments. Thanks for joining in on the fun so far over here, I really appreciate the comment love.

GIU Day 5: chalkboard love.

So whilst browsing Pinterest a week or so ago, I stumbled upon a pin by Betsy (Go-To Gal Paper Crafts Magazine) with an awesome tutorial for the chalkboard technique. LOVE it! Her tutorial is fabulous. I thought I would try my hand on it, and love the way it turned out! Can't wait to do more of this.
For this card all the stamps are from the current Unity Kit of the Month - LOVE! I love being a KOTM member. The stamps you get every month are FABULOUS and Angela spends so much time making sure the kit is just rock star each and every month. Plus all the discounts and bonuses you get along the way.

I hope you have a fabulous Sunday. {Isn't there some big game on today or something? ;)}

GIU Day 4: smooth sailing.

Hola! Happy Saturday people! So last night, I went and saw Silver Linings Playbook. I mean, obviously you should go see it for this alone.
No, but seriously, this movie is crazy good. I highly recommend seeing it.

Today, I'm hitting up Michael's. Apparently they have some crazy clearance going on. And then watching the KU basketball game in Uptown. {ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!} Fun weekend times.

My card today is a card I created for a recent Paper Crafts Magazine publication call that didn't get selected. I honestly don't mind submitting and then not getting chosen because I can use those for my personal stash. But it sure does feel GREAT to get chosen!

I used Unity's Pirate Madness for the sentiment and the boat is from Beach Days & Sun Rays. I used a border punch and dimensionals to create a layered wave effect. Isn't that little charm the cutest?
Have a great weekend everyone!!
