Stencils and vellum.

So this is one of my favorite techniques as of lately. STENCILS! They are so fun. I picked up this Hero Arts bubble confetti stencil at the Scrapbook Expo, so it was time to break it in.

I heat embossed with Versamark and pink Zing embossing powder, then blended Tim Holtz Distress inks for a bokeh look. I then heat embossed the Unity sentiment in black on a vellum speech bubble die cut and adhered it to the card base with a skinny washi tape.
I hope you all have an awesome Friday!

Nautical Thank You {WPlus9 Challenge}

I've really been enjoying the challenges over at WPlus9 this month for their birthday! I'm sort of sad to see them over :(

This week, the challenge was to stretch your creative boundaries. I LOVE the nautical trend, but never have really created with it. I had the Dockside stamp set with coordinating dies for a while and they have never been used, so I decided to bust them out for this challenge.
I'm not in love with my card. If I were to do it over again, I would've put the red crab in the center, but you live and learn, right?

Hope you all have a fabby day!

It's Time for Happy Hour.

Hi there, crafty peeps! It's Unity Thursday. But not *quite* happy hour time ;)
For this card, I started with this new Memory Box Texture Wave stencil, Tim Holtz Distress Markers and this handy new Tim Holtz Spritzer Tool to create my background. I then stamped the Time for Happy Hour sentiment and colored in the text. With watercolor paper, I stamped the wine bottle from Shall We unWINEd?, colored with distress markers, fussy cut and adhered it to the card base with pop dots.

Your next stop on the hop is the talented Jolande! Don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a stampy prize.

WPlus9 Trend Watch Challenge

Hi there!

Today, I'm participating in the WPlus9 Trend Watch Challenge. So fun! I love the trends Dawn has listed on the challenge, especially grunge and enamel dots. I just bought a TON more enamel dots. I need an intervention.
I could write an entire blog post about those wood dots....

I digress.

Onto my card! I used quite a few WPlus9 sets on this one. Fresh Cut Florals, More Fresh Cuts, So 80s and Written On Ribbon. Phew!
Thanks for checking out my blog today! See you next time.

A little Modern Mehndi love.

Hi friends!

Today I'm posting a card I made with my new Lil' Inker stamp and die set Modern Mehndi. LOVE this set, it's so versatile - I'm going to be using it a lot. I decided to whip out my watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress Markers for this card. I heat embossed the flowers in white and then colored them.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Picture Perfect.

Hi friends! Today is Thursday, which means it's Unity Hop day! I created a fun card today using Unity's current SMAK kit Camera Ready and the Super Star sentiment. The triangle screen die is from My Favorite Things. It took a lot of work, but love the result.
Don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a PRIZE. Your next stop on the hop is Jolande. Have fun!

Birthday Rainbows, neon style.

Well, you know I would have to go and "neonify" this fabulous new die from Paper Smooches, right? Had to! I LOVE this new die along with the balloons and celebrate, don't you? EEEK! This card just makes me happy. It's for my sister for her birthday!
(SO hard to photograph neon....) I'm posting this to the Paper Smooches Challenge going on right now!
Have a fabulous day! xoxo

WPlus9 Challenge: Step It Up

I'm having so fun playing with WPlus9's Birthday Celebration Challenges. This week, it's Step It Up by adding dimension to your cards. So easy! I usually always have some kind of dimension on my cards.

Check out this card I made using Milk & Cookies. So fun for Valentine's Day!
The red has embossed polka dots on it, but it's hard to see in the photo. Oh well! Everything is always better in real life, right? *wink*

WPlus9 Monday Mood Board #26

Hi there!

I'm posting another WPlus9 project today. I decided to play along with the gorgeous mood board over at WPlus9 that you can find here.
Isn't it gorgeous? As you know, I have really been into pink and gold lately so this was perfect for me. Here is what I came up with.
Such a fun, unique color combo for me. I enjoy this one!

Comfort Zone Challenge {WPlus9}

Howdy friends!

WPlus9, one of my favorite stamp companies, is celebrating their birthday this month! They are hosting a Comfort Zone Challenge, and I wanted to ink up my new Stitched Blooms stamps. Hence, the card.
My comfort zone? Bright colors, with a little bit of edge. And I love working with patterned papers, too!

Have a fabby day! xo

Dream Catcher Love.

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Love me some Saturdays.

I am posting a card I made recently for a publication call. It didn't make the cut, but I am in LOVE with this card regardless. Isn't this stamp gorgeous? I heat embossed the stamp in Zing pink. I'm a big fan of the watercolor paper as well. I thought this feather wood veneer was the perfect finishing touch to the card.
Psssst...this stamp is HUGE and it's also on sale this weekend for $7! :)
