Getting a little messy sometimes.

So last week, I was able to attend the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington. What a super fun shopping day! I was also able to meet this guy.
You might recognize him? Ha ha! Yes, the one and only Tim Holtz. I got to watch him demo and asked him to take a selfie with me. Such a big inspiration. So happy I went! He totally inspired me to do something...

For about a month now, I have been heavily involved in a little competition called Gallery Idol. Each weekend I progressed, I had to make another card. Each card had to be perfect, flawless and meticulously executed. It was an awesome experience (we find out tomorrow who wins), but it was also exhausting. Restamping, recreating, crossing my fingers with each step along the way of my card creation hoping it would be perfect. (well, not literally. I kind of needed my fingers to work.)

ANYWAY. I wanted to go back to "messy" crafty. Tim is known for his messy, grunge look and I was totally inspired by him to just get messy with my paper crafting again. So I did!

I pulled out Unity's current Kit of the Month, In Love With Love (which is awesome by the way) and my Distress products - the markers and ink pads and also a Tim Holtz stencil. What fun I had!

Here is my tag I created. It's not perfect. It's not supposed to be. But it is art, and it is mine. And I had so much fun making it!
And since you are hopping with Unity, don't forget to leave those comments for a chance at an awesome Unity prize package!
