Hello friends! I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. I have been working on flowers galore…they are taking over my life! I’m so excited about the response, thank you for your orders! I hope everyone takes times to post their projects on my Facebook page or sends me a link, I would love to see these flowers in action.
I took some time today to try out a new stamping technique with my new Market Street Stamps. I own Promarkers, but I have never really gotten the whole shading thing down, mostly because I haven’t really taken the time to sit down and practice. I decided today would be a good time to break out my Prismacolor Colored Pencils and use them with baby oil. Yep, baby oil! Many stampers use mineral oil but I didn’t have much luck tracking that down in Michael’s. (I sort of get all confused in the drawing section heehee!) So….baby oil it was…..
Here is a video explaining how I use the oil to blend in my colored pencils. It gives it a marker look and shades sooooo easily! I love this new technique!
This was the first card I created using this technique. I love how it turned out and I can’t wait to keep playing with my Prismacolors. I hope you enjoy!
