Modern Babe - Design Team Mondays!

How much do you love the latest release from Erin Lee Creative? I just love the pop art and modern feel of the collection - super different and great for making on trend projects.

My card today features several of the latest products and I’ll show you a couple of ideas for layering them but still keep that clean and simple look.

To create my card, I first stamped the main image from the ‘Babe’ stampset in black ink twice. I used my MISTI to make sure it was lined up properly and also it enabled me to get the angle I wanted perfectly.

I did a little stamp surgery and cut off the arrows from the Baby word and stamped them a couple of times around the card in the same black ink, including double stamping at the top without reinking.

I added a few splatters with black ink mixed with a little water, and with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen in Midas Touch gold.

I then used the super cool Face Stencil and overlaid the lips in just the area I wanted them before adhering the stencil down. I then used Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Garnet over the stencil with a palette knife, which is perfect for a ‘kiss’ - and then left it to dry.

Meanwhile, I created my sub-sentiment using the Babe stamp set again, heat embossing the sentiment in white embossing powder on black cardstock, and then popped it up on foam tape.

The new Love You die was die cut from the GORGEOUS new holographic cardstock and adhered directly onto the panel. I trimmed off any overhangs and then popped the entire panel onto a white notecard. As a finishing touch, I popped on some black enamel dots!

I love how cool this turned out to look - in the photos I paired it with a holographic envelope which are SO fun - imagine receiving that in the mail!
